WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's indoor track and field team claimed the team title at the All-Ohio Championships for a sixth year in a row Saturday at Otterbein University in Westerville.
The Purple Raiders tallied 98.5 points to hold off second place Otterbein (94.5) in the meet featuring all 21 NCAA Division III programs in Ohio.
Senior Jocelyn Sefick (Willowick/Eastlake North) led the Raiders with 20 points in the meet as she placed second in the high jump, fourth in both the 60 hurdles (9.19) and triple jump (36-3.5). She also posted a seventh place finish in the pentathlon part of the meet last weekend. Her high jump mark of 5-feet, 7-inches is also the fifth best mark in NCAA Division III so far this season.
Crofoot was second in the 60 meters (7.84), sixth in the long jump (17-6.75), fifth in the 200 meters (26.41) and teamed with senior Marrianna White (Northfield/Nordonia), junior Marisa Rinaldi (Tallmadge/Tallmadge) and freshman Toni Beuck (Cleveland/Villa Angela St. Joseph) to place third in the 4x400 relay (4:05.01). She was also on the 4x200 meter relay team with senior Veronica Clutter (Geneva/Geneva), Rinaldi and sophomore Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) that placed fourth (1:46.91).
Reigle had a pair of second place finishes in both the 800 meters (2:21.38) and mile (5:10.53).
Junior Mandy Mohn (Louisville/Louisville) also placed third in the mile (5:13.68) and sixth in the 3000 meters (10:25.06) to round out the top performances.
Mount Union travels to the Kent State Tune-Up next Saturday Feb. 20 in the final meet before the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
