Women's Track & Field: Mount Union Wins OAC Split Meet; Raiders Win 7 Events

ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union women's indoor track and field team won the Ohio Athletic Conference Split Meet Saturday at Ohio Northern University.

The Purple Raiders totalled 194 points which was 40.5 points ahead of second place Ohio Northern in the event that consisted of half of the conference.

Baldwin Wallace was in third place with 93.5 points while John Carroll and Heidelberg made up the rest of the field with 87 and 50 points respectively.

Mount Union won seven events on the day.

Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) was part of two wins as she won the 200 meters (26.79) and was part of the winning 4x200 meter relay with Marissa Rinaldi (Tallmadge/Tallmadge), Steph Donley (Carrollton/Carrollton) and Caitlynn Conner (Perry/Perry) at 1:46.40.

Rinaldi also won the 500 meters (1:20.28), Katie Vance (Norwayne/Norwayne) won the 1 mile run (5:17.10) and Hilary Reigle (Madison/Madison)

Linley Mamonis (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) claimed a field event win in the shot put with a mark of 42-1.25.

Mount Union returns to the track next week at the Spire Open at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
