GENEVA, Ohio -- Freshman Daijana Johnson (Alliance/Alliance) won the long jump to headline the performances of the Mount Union women's indoor track and field team at the Spire Invitational Saturday at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Johnson won the long jump with a mark of 17-feet, 2.75-inches. Also in the event, junior Dana Crofoot (Perry/Perry) placed third at 17-2 as some of the top finishers at the unscored meet.
Croofoot was also part of a 4x400 relay team with freshmen Sarah Mason (Alliance/Marlington) and Aamirah Howard (Akron/Woodridge) with senior Marisa Rinaldi (Tallmadge/Tallmadge) that posted its best time of the season at 4:02.13 to place fourth.
Mount Union hosts the Jim Wuske Invitational next Saturday, February 4 in Peterson Fieldhouse on campus.
