Women's Track & Field: Mount Union Tunes Up For Conference Meet at Raider Tune-Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's track and field team won five events at the Raider Tune-Up Saturday at Peterson Fieldhouse in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders swept the top four spots in the 60 meter dash as junior Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/St. Vincent-St. Mary) won the event with a time of 7.87. 

Right behind her was freshman Rachel Adams (Louisville/St. Thomas Aquinas) at 7.96 followed by juniors Dana Crofoot (Perry/Perry) at 8.01 and Steph Donley (Carrollton/Carrollton) at 8.15.

Crofoot also won the long jump with a mark of 17-feet, 8.75-inches.

Mount Union also picked up wins in the pole vault from senior Abbey Eisenbrown (Ellwood City, Pa./Lincoln) at 11-feet, 1-inch and freshman Sarah Mason (Alliance/Marlington) in the 1000 meters at 1:20.70.

The Raiders also swept the top three spots in the 1000 meters respectively from sophomore Hilary Reigle (Madison/Madison) (3:02.24), junior Katie Vance (Norwayne/Norwayne) (3:05.44) and freshman Katie Durisin (Painesville/Riverside) (3:06.79).

The Ohio Athletic Conference Championships will be held next weekend at Baldwin Wallace in Berea as Mount Union is looking for its fifth straight conference title.
