Women's Track & Field: Raiders Third at Cedarville Open

CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's track and field team placed third at the Cedarville Open Saturday in Cedarville, Ohio.

The Purple Raiders tallied 110 points which was 12 points behind second place and host Cedarville. NCAA Division I Wright State won the event with 138.5 points.

Mount Union junior Steph Donley (Carrollton/Carrollton) placed third in the three different events -- the 100 meters (12.40), the 200 meters (26.24) and in the 4x100 meter relay (50.13) with senior Marisa Rinaldi (Tallmadge/Tallmadge), freshman Caitlynn Connor (Boardman/Boardman), and junior Dana Crofoot (Perry/Perry).

Crofoot also was third in the long jump at 17-feet, 9-inches.

Senior Abbey Eisenbrown (Ellwood City, Pa./Lincoln) was third in the pole vault at 11-feet, 4.25-inches. That mark is 15th best in NCAA Division III this season.

Two other third places came from freshman Sarah Mason (Alliance/Marlington) in the 400 meters (1:01.18) and senior Linley Mamonis (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) in the javelin (112-9).

Mount Union competes next weekend at the Wooster Invitational at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
