Women's Track & Field: Eisenbrown Sets School Record to Lead Mount Union at BW

BEREA, Ohio -- Mount Union senior Abbey Eisenbrown (Ellwood City, Pa./Lincoln) set a school record in winning the pole vault Saturday at the Sparky Adams Invitational at Baldwin Wallace in Berea.

Eisenbrown, who already had the record, had a career-best mark of 12-feet and was one of two Purple Raiders to win events Saturday.

Freshmen Devin Kring (Alliance/Louisville) and Aamirah Howard (Akron/Woodridge) went 1-2 in the 400 meter hurdles.

Three other second place finishes came from senior Courtney Berish (Mantua/Crestwood) in the hammer throw, senior Linley Mamonis (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) in the javelin and freshman Rachael Adams (Louisville/St. Thomas Aquinas) in the 200 meters.

Junior Aubrey Fruchey (Columbus Grove/Columbus Grove) placed third in the shot put to round out the top performances.

Mount Union next competes at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships next Friday and Saturday at Muskingum University in New Concord.
