Women's Track and Field: Streaked Stopped; Mount Union Edged Out for All-Ohio Title

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's indoor track and field team saw its streak of team titles end at seven Saturday at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships in Westerville.

The Purple Raiders scored 106 points but were edged out by host Otterbein with 109 points.

All three Mount Union wins came in sprint events as sophomore Daijana Johnson (Alliance) won the 60 meter dash (7.84) then was second in the 200 meters (26.25) behind teammate and fellow sophomore Rachael Adams (Louisville / St. Thomas Aquinas) who ran a time of 25.78.

The other sprint win came from the 4x200 meter relay team of senior Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Hts / St. Vincent-St. Mary), junior Steph Donley (Carrollton) along with freshmen Megan Bailey (Alliance) and Hailey Miller (Louisville) at 1:45.97.

Three second place finishes that were all season bests came from senior Dana Crofoot (Perry) in the long jump (17-8.75), junior Hilary Reigle (Madison) in the 1-mile (5:08.44) and sophomore Aamirah Howard (Akron / Woodridge) in the 60 meter hurdles (9.44).

Mount Union hosts the Raider Tune-Up next Saturday, Feb. 17 at Peterson Fieldhouse on campus.
