Women's Indoor Track & Field: Relay Record Headlines Day For Raiders

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Toni Beuck (Cleveland / Villa Angela-St. Joseph), Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington) along with Hilary and Hannah Reigle (Madison) shattered the school record in the 4x800 meter relay included in five event wins to headline Mount Union's women's indoor track and field season opener at the Toy Drive Invite at Peterson Fieldhouse Saturday in the Alliance. 

The relay team posted a time of 9:38.82 which bested the old mark of 10:13.15 set in 2017.

Mount Union posted another relay win as Amirah Howard (Akron / Woodridge), Michaelina Terranova (North Jackson / Jackson-Milton), Maryonna Cathey (New London) and Olivia Powers (Norwalk / St. Paul) won the 4x400 meter race with a time of 4:08.90.

The other three event wins came from Mason in the 800 meters (2:18.63), Daijana Johnson (Alliance) in the 60 meter dash (7.97) and Cathey in the 400 meters (1:01.37).

Mount Union next competes at the Youngstown State Invitational Friday, January 18, 2019 in Youngstown, Ohio.
