Women's Track and Field: Raiders Second at OAC Indoor Championships

ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's track and field team finished second at the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at Ohio Northern University.

The Purple Raiders tallied 149.5 points and were 15 points behind Otterbein as the Cardinals won their second straight conference title with 164.5 points.

Senior Hilary Reigle (Madison) won the 1 mile run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:58.60. Reigle also took all-conference honors with a second place finish in the 1,000 meters (3:01.03) and a third in the 5,000 meters (17:31.41).

Mount Union scored two other event wins as junior Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington) won the 500 meters (1:17.54) and sophomore Alexianna Johnson (Dover) in the long jump (18-22.5).

Junior Daijana Johnson (Alliance) also contributed 16 points to the team total with a pair of all-conference finishes placing second in both the 60 meter dash (7.92) and the long jump (17-11.75).
