Women's Track and Field: Mount Union Wins Nine Events in Outdoor Opener

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Mount Union's women's track and field team won nine events at the Mary Washington Opener to start the 2019 outdoor season.

Toni Beuck (Cleveland / Villa Anglea-St. Joseph) was also part of a pair of wins as she won the 800 meters then combined with Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington), Elise Chojnacki (North Royalton) and Michalena Terranova (North Jackson / Jackson-Milton) to win the 4x400 meter relay.

The other wins came from Emmalee Carver (Minerva) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Katie Durisin (Painesville / Riverside) in the 1500 meters, Quinn Crowe in the shot put, Bri Aveni (Geneva) in the pole vault, Sabrina Stocker (Madison) in the 110 meter hurdles, Maryonna Cathey (New London) in the 400 meter hurdles and Hilary Reigle (Madison) in the 5000 meters.

Mount Union will host the Stark County Challenge next Friday, March 22 against both Walsh and Malone at Mount Union Stadium.
