Women's Track and Field: Raiders Win Three Events to Win Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's women's track and field team won three events to take the team title at the Wooster Invitational Saturday at The College of Wooster.

The Purple Raiders posted 160.5 points which was 67.5 points clear of second place Ashland with 93 points.

Bri Aveni (Geneva) won the pole vault with a mark of 11-feet, 1.5-inches and Hilary Reigle (Madison) won the 1500 meters (4:46.47) for two of the Raiders event wins.

Reigle also finished second behind teammate Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington) in the 800 meters (2:18.29) for the third win for Mount Union.

Other second place finishes came from Katie Durisin (Painesville / Riverside) in the 5000 meters (18:14.64) and Emily Henson (Hamilton / Badin) in the 1500 meters (4:51.93).

Mount Union next hosts the John Homon Invitational next Friday and Saturday, April 5-6 at Mount Union Stadium.
