LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Mount Union senior Hilary Reigle (Madison) ran a school record time of 35:30.09 in the 10,000 meters at the Bucknell Bison Classic late Saturday night.
It was the second straight week Reigle put her name on the school record board and second straight week she shattered the previous mark. Her time in the 10,000 meters bested the previous school record by 12 seconds of 35:42.56 that Catie Campbell ran in 2015. A week ago, Reigle she beat the previous record in the 1,500 meters by seven seconds.
Her time in the 10,000 meters is also the fifth-best time so far nationally in NCAA Division III and is a provisionally qualifying time for next month's NCAA Championships held near her hometown of Madison in Geneva, Ohio.
Also at Bucknell, fellow senior Emily Henson (Hamilton / Badin) ran her career best time in the 1,500 meters at 4:44.35 while junior Katie Durisin (Painesville / Riverside) and senior Hannah Reigle (Madison) ran season-best times in thre 5,000 meters to qualify for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship meet.
The Purple Raiders run next Friday, Apr. 19 at the Wittenberg Invitational in Springfield, Ohio.
