MARIETTA, Ohio – Mount Union's women's track and field team won its eighth overall team title at the 2020 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at Marietta College.
The Purple Raiders won two of the 19 events contested and scored 170.50 points which was 19 ahead of second place Otterbein (150.50).
Senior Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington) picked up her second win of the track meet in the 800 in a time of 2:17.12.
Mount Union had strong depth with six all-conference performances (top three performance). Sophomore Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) tied for third in the high jump, senior Katie Durisin (Painesville / Riverside) grabbed second in the mile, juniors Cortni Arp (Copley) finished second in the 200-meter, Sabrina Stocker (Madison) with third in the 55-meter hurdles and Brit McCauley (Ontario) in the 1,000-meter finished third.
The Raiders had a second place finish from the 4x200 meter relay team consisting of Arp, freshman Micah Donley (Carrollton), and sophomores Lily Bogunovich (Alliance / Marlington) and Olivia Powers (Norwalk / St. Paul).
Head Coach Kevin Lucas and his staff won OAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
