Weekly Preview: Volleyball Returns to Ohio for Home Opener, Kenyon Invite

Coming off a successful 3-1 weekend at the Golden Flyer Invitational in Rochester, N.Y., the Mount Union volleyball team returns to Ohio for its 2012 home opener on Wednesday night (Sept. 12) and the Kenyon Invitational (Sept. 14-15) in Gambier, Ohio.

Junior Taylor Webb (Geneva/Geneva) and sophomore Nicole Snyder (Mentor/Lake Catholic) were named to the All-Tournament team over the weekend and will look to continue their successful play against 8-0 Case Western, which has lost just two sets the entire season, on Wednesday.  Webb leads the Purple Raiders in kills (77), averaging 2.85 kills per set.  Meanwhile, Snyder ranks second on the team in kills with 54.  In addition, senior Kristen Gromes (Navarre/Fairless), who was an All-Tournament selection early this season at the Otterbein/Capital Tournament, has 124 digs for the Raiders so far in 2012.
