No. 11 Volleyball Hosts Baldwin Wallace Tuesday for Senior Day
Mount Union's women's volleyball team, ranked No. 11 in the nation (Oct. 29), hosts Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 p.m. in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex for senior day.

The Purple Raiders enter the match Tuesday at 25-4 overall and 6-1 in the OAC and Mount Union has clinched a home match for the OAC tournament that starts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 5. The Yellow Jackets enter Tuesday at 10-16 overall and 3-4 in the OAC.
Mount Union honors senior Taylor Webb (Geneva/Geneva) in the last regular season home match of the 2013 campaign. Webb who was named to the Dean's List six times, is involved in the co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega and is the secretary of the Tri Beta Biology honor society. Webb is also a member of the phycology club and ranks in the top 10 on four of the school's individual career lists. She ranks eighth in kills with 1,196, ninth in kill attempts, 3,036, Webb is tied for 10th in matches played, 128, and is 10th in numbers of sets played at 435. Webb is an two-time All-OAC second team selection (2011 and 2012) for the Raiders.
Raiders fall to Cardinals 3-0 Saturday
Mount Union dropped its first OAC match of the season and lost its first home game on Saturday, October 26 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-20) to Otterbein. This was the first home loss since October 29, 2011 when they fell 3-0 to Otterbein in the MAAC.
The Raiders were led by Webb who notched eight kills and seven digs as junior Lauren Mastroine (Orrville/Orrville) as she recorded 12 digs. Junior Sarah Schleich (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) tallied 14 assists as junior Brittany Woodard (Diamon/Southeast) dished out 10 assists.
Yellow Jackets Fly Past the Crusaders in Five Sets Saturday
Baldwin Wallace defeated Capital in five sets, 3-2, Saturday, October 26 as they Yellow Jackets honored five seniors, Shannon Deleur, Taylor Burns, Colleen Bonacci, Kayla Harris and Emily Nagle. In the 25-20, 25-17, 22-25, 21-25, 15-7 win over the Crusaders, Baldwin Wallace was led by Burns who notched 10 kills and 19 digs.
Deleur recorded 47 assists as Bonacci tallied 16 kills and Harris at 10 kills. Arlayna Newcomer chipped in 27 digs as Paige Pileski had 23 digs for the Yellow Jackets in the five set thriller.
Raiders Defeat Yellow Jackets 3-0 in 2012
In the 3-0 sweep of Baldwin Wallace, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18, in the 2012 matchup, Snyder led the Raiders with 11 kills and 14 digs as junior Mel Patterson (Mentor/Lake Catholic) notched 10 kills and nine digs. Webb recorded 10 kills as Mastroine tallied 14 digs. Sophomore Kristen Kayser (Oregon/Clay) dished out 21 assists.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Nagle who recorded 29 assists and nine digs as Burns notched 14 digs.
Mount Union completes the 2013 regular season on the road as they travel to Heidelberg on Saturday, November 2 at 2:30 p.m. for an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup in Tiffin, Ohio.
