No. 10 Volleyball to Play Carnegie Mellon in NCAA First Round

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Mount Union volleyball team, ranked No. 10 in the nation, will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., on Thursday, November 14 to face Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament. For the Purple Raiders, it will be their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament in school history and third straight appearance. Thursday's match will be played on the campus of Calvin (Mich.) at a time to be determined.

The Raiders (30-4) won the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by defeating Heidelberg, 3-0 in the OAC Tournament Championship. 

Carnegie Mellon received one of 19 at large bids to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Washington U. (Mo.), ranked No. 8 in the nation, in five sets for the third place match of the University Athletic Association tournament. This is the third-tournament appearance for the Tartans, frist since 2008. 

The winner of the first round match between the Raiders and Tartans will meet the winner of the No. 2 Calvin (Mich.) and Penn-State Behrend match on Thursday, November 14.
