Volleyball: No. 19 Mount Union Takes on Undefeated Case Western Reserve Wednesday

Mount Union's volleyball team, ranked No. 19 in the nation, takes on Case Western Reserve Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Cleveland.

Scouting Mount Union:
The Purple Raiders, 6-3 overall, are coming off a 2-2 showing at the ASICS Invitational last weekend where two oppoenents were nationally ranked in the AVCA National Top 25.  Mount Union beat then No. 16 ranked Clarkson (N.Y.) 3-1 before falling to No. 5 ranked and host Junaita (Pa.) 3-0.   

Mount Union is led by sophomores Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), Morgan Chapman (Seven Fields, Pa./ Seneca Valley) and junior Caitlyn Synek (Independence/Independence). Knollman and Chapman each have 61 kills on the season while Synek is close behind with 58.

Scouting Case Western Reserve:
Case Western Reserve is off to its best start in 10 years and already have wins against two Ohio Athletic Conference teams -- Capital and John Carroll.

The Spartans are led by Carolyn Bogart with 90 kills, Robyn Marks with 197 assists and Katie Best with 120 digs.
