Volleyball: Mount Union Travels to Muskingum Tuesday

ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union’s volleyball team travels to New Concord, Ohio to take on Muskingum Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Scouting Mount Union:

The Purple Raiders (14-8, 3-2 OAC) are coming off an Ohio Athletic Conference loss against Heidelberg Saturday. Mount Union lost in three sets with scores of 25-12, 27-25, and 25-20. 

Offensively, Mount Union is led by sophomore Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) with 198 kills on the season. Sophomore Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) is leading the team in assists with 482. Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) is first in the OAC in blocks per set with 1.08.

Defensively, the Raiders are led by freshman Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) with 334 digs as well as having 41 service aces on the season.

Scouting Muskingum:

The Fighting Muskies (17-8, 3-2 OAC) are coming off an OAC win against Otterbein Saturday. Muskingum won in three sets with scores of 26-24, 25-21, and 29-27. The Muskies are led by Taylour Fatheree with 277 kills on the season while Taylor Mathews is leading in assists with 773.
