Volleyball: Mount Union Hosts John Carroll Tuesday

ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's volleyball team takes on John Carroll Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7 pm in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex for their last home game of the regular season.

Scouting Mount Union (15-9, 4-3 OAC):

Before the game, the one and only Purple Raider senior, Abby Riffee (Mineral Ridge/Mineral Ridge), will be recognized for all of her hard work and dedication on and off the court.

Leading the Raiders offensively is Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) with 217 kills on the season while Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) is leading in assists with 510.  Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) remains first in the Ohio Athletic Conference in blocks per set with 1.14 and has 88 total blocks on the season.

Defensively, Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) is leading Mount Union with 385 digs on the season and is also leading the OAC in service aces per set with 0.48.

Scouting John Carroll (13-12, 4-3 OAC):

Offensively leading the Blue Steaks are Sarah Orlandi and Leah Switalski with 284 and 270 kills on the season. Kit O'Shaughnessy leads the team in assists with 845.

Defensively, Sara Kaminski leads John Carroll with 388 digs with Katie Cosker right behind her with 376.

The Raiders travel to Columbus this weekend to play their last regular season OAC match against Otterbein, Friday at 7 pm and will take on Thomas More (Ky.) for a non-conference match on Saturday at 12 pm.
