Volleyball: Mount Union Travels to Otterbein Friday and Saturday

ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's volleyball team travels to Westerville to take on Otterbein Friday at 7 pm and will also play Thomas More (Ky.) Saturday at 12 pm.

Scouting Mount Union:

The Purple Raiders (15-10, 4-4 OAC) are coming off an Ohio Athletic Conference loss against John Carroll Tuesday. Mount Union lost in four sets with scores of 25-22, 16-25, 24-26 and 14-25.

Offensively, Mount Union is led by Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) with 225 kills on the season. Sophomore Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) is leading the team in assists with 528. Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) is first in the OAC in blocks per set with 1.16.

Defensively, the Raiders are led by freshman Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) with 405 digs on the season. She is also leading the OAC in service aces per set with 0.49.

Scouting Otterbein:

Otterbein (12-16, 3-5 OAC), is coming off an OAC win against Marietta. The Cardinals won in four sets against the Pioneers.

Offensively for the Cardinals (12-16, 3-5 OAC), Morgan Lowenkamp is leading with 269 kills. Andrea Miller is leading in assists with 572. Defensively, Gracie Staten is leading the team with 399 digs.

Mount Union vs. Otterbein:

The winner of this match will be sixth seed in the eight-team OAC Tournament and will play Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. Site will be determined after Friday and Saturday night matches. The loser will be seeded seventh, play Tuesday, Nov. 3rd and travel to Ohio Northern. 

Scouting Thomas More (Ky.):

Thomas More (Ky.) (21-4, 17-0 PAC) are coming off a loss against Hanover. The Saints lost in five sets to Hanover on Saturday.

Offensively, Thomas More is led by Stacy Howell with 356 kills on the season and Jenna Fessler is leading in assists with 968. Defensively, Rachel Bronner is leading the team with 341 digs.
