Volleyball: Raiders Beat Wooster and Grove City; Mount Union Now 4-0 Overall

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's volleyball team ran its record to 4-0 on the season with victories over Wooster (3-1) and Grove City (Pa.) (3-0) Saturday at the 2017 Mount Union Invitational.

Freshman Madelin DiBease (Perry/Perry) continued to lead the way for the Purple Raiders with 24 kills against Wooster and 11 against Grove City on her way to tournament MVP honors.

Joining DiBease, senior setter Riley Schenk (Amherst/Steele) put herself on the All-Tournament Team with 49 and 33 assists versus Wooster and Grove City respectively.

Junior Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton), seniors Celia Barrett (University Heights/Hathaway Brown) and Elise Nickoli (Monroeville/Norwalk St. Paul) were powerful on the defensive end recording a combined 84 digs on the day. Barrett led overall with 18 digs against Wooster.

Mount Union travels to Baldwin Wallace to participate in the 19th Annual Marcia French Invitational on September 8-9.
