AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Mount Union middle hitter Marlee Peck (Homeworth/Marlington) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week (9/4).
Opening the season at the Mount Union Invitational, the Purple Raiders went 4-0 as Peck averaged 3.17 kills a set while posting a .500 hitting percentage. Peck also hit a career-high mark of 14 kills against Wooster in the first match of the season.
Along with 10 blocks on the weekend, Peck's performance earned All-Tournament honors as well as being named the Most Valuable Player.
Mount Union next plays in the Allegheny Gator Invitational on September 7-8 in Meadville, Pa.
