Mount Union's Kyleigh Jackson Named OAC Volleyball Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union middle blocker Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week (9/24).

The senior led the Purple Raiders in kills and blocks during their five game stint last week where they went 4-1, making their overall record 17-1.

Jackson recorded 44 kills and 20 blocks in 18 sets, with a season-best nine blocks against Mary Washington (Va.) at the DoubleTree Invitational hosted by Carnegie Mellon (Pa.).

With an average of 2.44 kills per set, Jackson registered a hitting percentage of .407 for the week; on the season, she is hitting .370.

Jackson and the rest of the Raiders begin OAC action at home Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. against Otterbein.
