Women's Volleyball: Mount Union Moves Record to 7-2 After Penn-State Behrend Tournament; DiBease Named MVP and Arnett Named to All-Tournament Team

ERIE, Pa. - Mount Union women's volleyball team swept all four teams at the Penn-State Behrend Tournament after defeating host, Penn-State Behrend (Pa.) 25-14, 25-16, 25-18, and Westminster (Pa.) 25-16 , 25-15 , 25-15  Saturday afternoon. 

The Purple Raiders improve their record to 7-2. 

Junior Breanna Arnett (Peninsula / Woodridge) led Mount Union offensively with 15 kills, along with freshman Mollie Thomas's (Massillon) 18 assists in the first match. On the defensive end, junior Madelin DiBease (Perry) tallied 18 digs. 

In game two, freshman libero Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) and senior defensive specialist Megan Donegan (Dublin / Dublin Coffman) defended Mount Union territory both recording 16 digs. An array of Raiders recorded multiple kills, but leading the way was DiBease with 12, coming off of Thomas's 19 assists. 

DiBease was named the tournament's MVP. In the span of four games she recorded 36 kills with a .413 hitting percentage, three assists, 44 digs, and three blocks. 

DisBease was not the only Raider to be given tournament accolades. By her side was Arnett, who was named to the All-Tournament Team. 

Arnett recorded 35 kills with a .514 hitting percentage, one assist, seven digs, and four blocks throughout the tournament.
