Women's Volleyball: Raiders Drop First OAC Match at #19 Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Mount Union's women's volleyball team dropped their first Ohio Athletic Conference match of the season 3-0 at No. 19 ranked Muskingum Tuesday night.

The match scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-19 leave the Purple Raiders at 18-6 overall and 3-1 in the OAC while Muskingum improves to 20-2 overall and 3-1 in the OAC.

Mount Union (was led by junior Breanna Arnett (Peninsula / Woodridge) who logged 12 kills, while senior Marlee Peck (Homeworth / Marlington) added 11 kills of her own. Freshman setter Katie May (Independence) tied her career-high 32 assists. 

Defensively, Mount Union had two Raiders with double digit digs. Freshman Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) and senior Megan Donegan (Dublin /Dublin Coffman) recorded 15 and 10 digs respectively. 

Muskingum was led by Brynn Guist with 14 kills and Jessica Cottle with 15 digs. 

The Raiders continue OAC play taking on Capital on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. in Columbus.
