Women's Cross Country Travels To Cedarville for All-Ohio Championships Friday

Mount Union's women's cross country team travels to the All-Ohio Championships slated for 2:00 p.m. in Cedarville, Ohio on Friday, October 4.

The Purple Raiders are coming off a first place finish at the Otterbein Invitational on September, 21 in Westerville, Ohio where Brooke Mathie (Louisville/Lousiville) led the Raiders with a third place finish with a time of 23:46.4. Mathie placed third out of 199 runners as Mount Union placed first (42 points) out of 17 teams.

Mount Union had two other runners join Mathie in the top ten, Catie Campbell (Blacklick/Licking Heights) and Hayley Buzulencia (Warren/howland) finished sixth (23:56.5) and eighth (24:15.7), respectively.

Last year at the All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville, Mount Union finished in sixth place (183 points) as they were led by Caitlin Goggin (Mantua/Crestwood) who paced the Raiders with an 18th place finish out of 146 runners with a time of 19:01.3.

The Mount Union women's cross country team returns to the course on October 18 when they travel to the Wilmington Fall Classic at 4:30 p.m. in Wilmington, Ohio.
