Bill Kirkwood is in his fifth season as head men's and women's golf coach at Mount Union.

In his first year, he led the women's team to its fourth straight Ohio Athletic Conference title and fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Kirkwood had been an assistant coach for the Purple Raiders two year prior to taking over the programs. Over those two seasons, he helped lead Mount Union to a pair of Ohio Athletic Conference women's golf championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances while the men's golf team posted a second place finish in the conference over that span.

Golf has always been a part of Kirkwood's life as he caddied at Oakwood Country Club in Cleveland as a boy then later as an adult helped teach youth the game in the junior program at Riceland Golf Course.

Bill and his wife Susan reside in Wooster, Ohio.
