HIRAM, Ohio -- Matt Carlozzi (Canfield/Canfield) won three individual events and was part of a victorious relay team as the Mount Union men's swimming and diving team stayed unbeaten with a 174-117 win over Hiram on Friday.
Carlozzi claimed his victories in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter freestyle events with times of :54.58, 2:00.54 and 4:18.70, respectively.
Carlozzi joined Rob Brocious (Mentor/Mentor), Austin Moreland (Dover/New Philadelphia) and Mike Greisl (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) in winning the 400 free relay in 3:47.51.
Brocious had two solo victories of his own in the 200 backstroke (2:20.77) and 800 free (8:54.67).
Tommy Pellett (Newark/Newark Catholic) also won two events on the 1- and 3-meter diving boards. He had a score of 173.35 on the lower board and 162.20 on the 3-meter.
Raymond Balint (Columbia, S.C./Lexington) added a win in the 200 breaststroke for the Raiders, touching the wall in 2:42.00.
The Raiders (3-0) will return to action on Saturday when they host Ohio Wesleyan in the Hammond Natatorium at 1 p.m.
