BEREA, Ohio -- Mount Union's Rob Brocious (Mentor/Mentor) swam for three individual victories, but the Purple Raider men's swimming and diving team suffered its first setback in dual action on Friday night -- a 127-116 loss to Ohio Athletic Conference foe Baldwin-Wallace.
Brocious touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.81), 400 individual medley (4:22.78) and 1,000 freestyle (10:42.57).
Matt Carlozzi (Canfield/Canfield) claimed two solo wins and was a member of Mount Union's winning 200 free relay team. Carlozzi swam the 200 free in 1:48.77 and the 500 free in 4:57.32.
Carlozzi teamed with Michael Greisl (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin), Dominique Melvin (Woodmere/Orange) and Mike Zappa (Shelby/Shelby) in winning the 200 free relay.
Greisl added a first-place finish in the 100 free (:49.08).
The Purple Raiders (4-1, 1-1) will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Wooster Invitational.
