BEREA, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team swam to six individual race wins -- all by different competitors -- and claimed a 143-93 victory over Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Baldwin-Wallace.
Jennie Ciccantelli (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls), Megan McDonough (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) and Kerry McCann (Bow, N.H./Bow) won the 200-, 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle events, respectively. Ciccantelli touched the wall in 2:05.11, McDonough finished in 5:47.05 and McCann clocked in at 11:53.71.
Other victories were recorded by Alyson Kolesar (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) in the 200 backstroke (2:14.35), Madalyn Zalewski (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) in the 200 butterfly (2:29.41) and Taylor Harrison (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) in the 400 individual medley (4:49.05).
The Purple Raiders also claimed first-place points in the 200 free relay (1:43.94). Team members were Harrison, Courtney Gabel (Fremont/Fremont Ross), Ciccantelli and Kolesar.
Mount Union (4-1, 2-0) will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 2, when it competes in the Wooster Invitational.
