ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Mount Union men's swimming and diving team was able to notch their first conference win of the season as they defeated Baldwin-Wallace, 129-99.
The Purple Raiders were led by junior Rob Brocious (Mentor/Mentor), who won three events. Brocious touched first in the 200 Free (1:52.52), 400 IM (4:24.67), and 200 Backstroke (2:01.44).
Freshman Nick Bester (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) and junior Mike Greisl (South Euclid/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) also won events for the Raiders. Bester won the 1,000 Free (10:49.75) and 500 Free (5:08.74), while Greisl won the 50 Free (:22.01) and 100 Free (:48.64).
In relays, Mount Union won the 200 Medley with a time of 1:41.93. The relay team included sophomore Zach Melvin (Woodmere/Orange), freshman Brian Ruhe (Versailles/Versailles), junior Ben Davies (Willoughby/Willoughby South), and Greisl.
The Purple Raiders will return to action when compete in the Wooster Invitational on December 1.
