UNIVERSITY HTS, Ohio -- Senior Alyson Kolesar (Stow/Stow), sophomore Courtney Gabel (Fremont/Fremont Ross), senior Sarah Noble (Copley/Copley) each won three events to lead the Mount Union women's swimming and diving team to a 125-98 victory Friday night at John Carroll.
Senior Taylor Harrison (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) and junior Katy Alkire (Akron/Firestone) also each won two events for the Purple Raiders (2-0, 1-0 OAC).
Kolesar claimed wins in the 200 Free (2:00.90), 500 Free (5:24.95) and teamed with sophomore Courtney Gabel (Fremont/Fremont Ross), senior Sarah Noble (Copley/Copley) and junior Elizabeth Juran (Independence/Independence) to win the 400 Free Relay (3:46.42).
Gabel, who also won the 50 Free (25.43), and Noble, who won the 200 Butterfly (2:20.04) also teamed up with Harrison and sophomore Shelbey Mitchell (Stow/Stow) to win the 400 Medley Relay (4:13.93).
Harrison also won the 200 IM (2:17.21) while Alkire chipped in wins in the 1000 Free (11:14.76) and 200 Breast (2:38.93).
Mount Union will be action Saturday as they swim at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
