ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team suffered their first loss of the season to John Carroll in an Ohio Athletic Conference meet, 156-138, Saturday afternoon.

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was freshmen Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) who finished first in two events on the day.

Leibensperger won the 1000-yard freestyle (11:22.61) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:32.27).

Others placing first in their events were Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) in the 200 butterfly (2:22.68) and Jacquelyn Jarachovic (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.55)

In diving action, Sabrina Skelly (Massillon/Massillon Washington) placed first in the one meter dive with a score of 185.40.

Mount Union (4-1) looks to bounce back Saturday, Nov. 15 as they host Ohio Wesleyan at 1:00 pm at Hammond Natatorium.
