TIFFIN, Ohio – No. 10 ranked Mount Union lost 22-10 at No. 22 ranked Heidelberg in an Ohio Athletic Conference wrestling match Tuesday in Tiffin.
The loss snapped a four-match win streak for the Purple Raiders and makes them 10-5 overall and 2-1 in the OAC while Heidelberg is 11-10 overall and alone in first place in the conference at 3-0.
The match started at 149 pounds and Heidelberg won seven of the 10 contested matches.
Bryant Roby (Westchester, Ill./St. Joseph) led Mount Union with a 13-5 major decision win at 141 pounds.
No. 7 ranked Jon Garrison (Copley/Copley) scored a 9-3 win at 157 pounds while Nick Rajcsak (Stow/Stow) got a 5-2 win at 197 as the other two wins for Mount Union.
The Raiders return home to host Baldwin Wallace in an OAC dual Saturday at 6 pm at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance.
