ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team won their fourth straight meet of the season with a 144-58 victory against Baldwin Wallace.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), Gavin Rundell (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon) and Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele) who each won three events on the night.
Fry won the 100 yard freestyle (49.46), Rundell won the 500 yard freestyle (4:54.05) and Moore won the 200 yard freestyle (1:48.38) and 100 yard breaststroke (59.76). Fry, Rundell and Moore were each apart of the 200 yard medley relay win with a time of 1:36.98 while Fry and Rundell were a part of the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:30.17. Logan Rogers (Hartville/Archbishop Hoban) was a part of the 200 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay while Matt Campbell (Louisville/Louisville) was also included in the 200 yard freestyle relay win.
Others placing first in their events were Nick Hoffman (Fremont/Fremont Ross) who won the 50 yard freestyle (22.99) and the 100 yard butterfly (55.00), Marcus Zappa (Amherst/Amherst Steele) in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:23.54), Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) in the 200 yard IM (2:03.95), and Will Turnbull (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) in the 100 yard backstroke (55.94).
In diving action, Nathan Levengood (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) won the first 1 mtr diving event with a final score of 144.80.
Mount Union returns to the pool November 21 at 1 pm at John Carroll in University Heights.
