Wrestling: #15 Mount Union Goes 2-3 at Mount Union Duals

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's wrestling team, ranked No. 15 in the nation, went 2-3 on the day at the Mount Union Duals Saturday at Peterson Fieldhouse.

The Purple Raiders scored wins against No. 16 ranked York (Pa.), 23-12 and a 43-3 win versus Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) but took losses to No. 3 ranked Messiah (Pa.) 25-10, No. 20 ranked Alma (Mich.) 30-16 and Ferrum (Va.) 19-14.

Jeremy Border (Caldwell/Caldwell), ranked No. 3 in the nation at 141 pounds, went 5-0 on the day to lead the Raiders.

Nick Mancini (Boardman/Boardman), ranked No. 9 in the nation at 125 pounds won four of five matches on the day with the lone loss coming to the nation's top ranked wrestler at 125 -- Lucas Malmberg of Messiah (Pa.).

Mount Union next wrestles at the Messiah Petrofes Invite on Dec. 4-5.
