UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team lost their first meet of the season 157-140 to John Carroll.
The Purple Raiders (4-1) were led by Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) who won two events on the night. Lautenschleger won the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.26) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:11.88).
Others placing first in their events were Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:23.50) Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) in the 200 yard butterfly (2:20.52) and Rose Aldo (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) in the 100 yard freestyle (56.57).
In diving action, Sara Fountain (North Ridgeville/Fairview) came in first in both the diving events. In the 1 meter she scored a 164.10 and in the 3 meter she scored a 172.65.
Mount Union's next meet is December 3rd at the Wooster Invitational.
