DELAWARE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team won their third straight meet of the season with a 131-92 victory against Ohio Wesleyan Friday.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders were Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele) and Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington). Moore won three events on the night while Fry won two.
Moore won the 100 yard freestyle (48.77) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:15.08) and Fry won the 200 yard back stroke (2:01.00) while both were on the winning 400 yard medley with a final time of 4:15.71. The 400 yard medley also included Nick Hoffman (Fremont/Fremont Ross) and Alex Machovina (Amherst/Amherst Steele).
Also placing first in their events were Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:24.67 and Marcus Zappa (Amherst/Amherst Steele) in the 500 yard freestyle (4:57.39)
In diving action, Nathan Levengood (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) won the 1 meter and the 3 meter.
Mount Union returns to the pool November 20 at 6 pm for a home meet against Baldwin Wallace.
