ALLIANCE, Ohio-The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team defeated St. Vincent (Pa.) 139-123 to improve their record to 5-1.
Leading the way for Mount Union was Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson) who won two events on the night. Saxon won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.99 and the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.28.
Others placing first in their events were Megan Liebensperger (Uniontown/Hoover), Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon), Rose Aldo (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) and Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick/Brunswick).
Leibensperger won the 1000 yard freestyle (11:18.24), Oktavec won the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.29), Lautenschleger won the 500 yard freestyle (5:22.53) and Aldo won the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:17.15.
The Purple Raiders return to the pool Friday, Jan. 15 against Wooster at 5:30 pm in the Timken Natatorium.
