WOOSTER, Ohio- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team had their first loss of the season to Wooster 130-107 Friday night at the Timken Natatorium.
The Purple Raiders were led by Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele) who won three events on the night. Moore won the 100 yard freestyle (48.78), the 100 yard breaststroke (1:00.48) and was included in the 200 yard medley relay win with a time of 1:37.76.
Also a part of the 200 yard medley relay was Gavin Rundell (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon), Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington) and Logan Rogers (Hartville/Archbishop Hoban).
Others placing first in their events were Rundell in the 100 yard butterfly (52.75), Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) in the 400 yard IM (4:26.75) and Marcus Zappa (Amherst/Amherst Steele) in the 500 yard freestyle (5:02.08).
Mount Union travels to Ohio Northern tomorrow, Jan. 16 to compete at 1:30 p.m.
