ADA, Ohio- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team lost to Ohio Northern 169-125 Saturday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders had five first place finishers including Marcus Zappa (Amherst/Amherst Steele), Gavin Rundell (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon), Will Turnbull (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls), Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), and Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele).

Zappa won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:21.73), Fry won the 100 yard backstroke (54.56), Rundell won the 200 yard butterfly (1:57.50), Turnbull won the 200 yard backstroke (2:01.25) and Moore won the 200 yard IM (2:00.06).

The 200 yard medley relay came in second place with a time of 1:37.30. Included in the relay was Fry, Rundell, Moore and Logan Roger (Hartville/Archbishop Hoban).

Mount Union hosts Wilmington next Saturday January, 23 at 1:00 p.m.
