ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team won their third straight meet of the season with a 118-87 victory over Ohio Wesleyan.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders were Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele) and Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich. / Bedford) who each won three events on the night.
Moore won the 200 yard IM (2:01.86), the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.81) and was included in the 400 yard medley relay (3:36.21). Ellsworth placed first in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:08.44), the 500 yard freestyle (4:53.51) and was included in the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:22.50)
Included in the 400 yard medley relay first place finish were Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) and Alex Machovina (Amherst/Amherst Steele) and a part of the 400 yard freestyle relay was Will Turnbull (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls), Mike Jeromin (Chagrin Falls/Kenston), and Kieran Wallace (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal)
Turnbull also placed first in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.04.
Mount Union returns to the pool November 5 at 1:00 PM hosting John Carroll at the Hammond Natatorium in Alliance, Ohio.
