ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team won their third straight meet of the season with a 130-96 victory over Ohio Wesleyan.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders were Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) who each won three events on the night.
Hirsh won the 200 yard butterfly (2:16.77) and was included in the 400 yard medley relay (4:12.47) and the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:54.20). Lautenschleger won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:56.35), the 500 yard freestyle (5:22.74) and was a part of the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Also included in the 400 yard medley relay were Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick/Brunswick), Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson), and Elisa Pichola (Rocky River/Rocky River). Included in the 400 yard freestyle relay were Marcy Spann (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) and Jenna Kassinger (Silver Lake/Cuyahoga Falls)
Oktavec also placed first in the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.60) while Spann also placed first in the 200 yard freestyle (2:06.62).
Mount Union returns to the pool November 5 at 1:00 PM hosting John Carroll at the Hammond Natatorium in Alliance, Ohio.
