Latrobe, Pa.- The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team lost to non-conference opponent St. Vincent 167-95 Friday night.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was
Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) who placed first in two events tonight and second place in one event.
Lautenschleger placed first in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:57.84) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:17.97) as she placed second in the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.30)
Others placing first in their events were
Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson) in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:34.52) and placed second in the 100 yard backstroke (1:11.23) and
Amy Strawser (Strongsville/Strongsville) in the 200 yard butterfly (2:30.02).
Saxon,
Ann Zielasko (Silver Lake/Archbishop Hoban),
Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick/Brunswick), and
Elise Pichola (Rocky River/Rocky River) placed second in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:18.33.
Oktavec placed second in the 200 yard backstroke (2:30.02) as Pichola placed second in the 100 yard freestyle (1:04.48).
Mount Union returns to the pool Friday, Jan. 13 against Wooster at 5:30 pm in the Hammond Natatorium.
