ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team dropped the last meet of the season to non-conference opponent Westminster, 171-127, Saturday afternoon in the Hammond Natatorium.
The Purple Raiders (7-4) were led by Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) who placed first in three events on the day. Lautenschleger won the 1650 yard freestyle (18:04.76), the 200 yard freestyle (2:00.21) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:19.27).
Others placing first were Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick/Brunswick) in the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.11) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:14.65) while Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson) placed first in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:31.27).
Mount Union heads to the University of Akron for the Ohio Athletic Conference championships starting Thursday, February 16 through Saturday, February 18.
