ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Wilmington in an Ohio Athletic Conference meet by a final score of 169-88 on Saturday in the Hammond Natatorium.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders on the afternnon was senior Dana Lautenschleger (Solon) who record two individual wins in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.20 and the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.02
Lautenschleger was also on the 200 yard medley relay team with freshman Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville), senior Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and senior Jenna Kassinger (Silver Lake/Cuyahoga Falls) who won with a time of 1:55.87.
Also recording two individual wins on the afternoon was junior Regina Saxon (Hudson) in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.05 and the 200 yard breastsroke with a time of 2:36.92.
Other recording wins on the afternoon for the Raiders included senior Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:33.50), senior Amy Strawser (Strongsville) in the 100 yard butterfly (1:05.67), junior Sarah Gonda (Boardman) in the 100 yard backstroke (1:03.89), junior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick) in the 200 yard butterfly and sophomore Erin Bain (Beaver Falls ,Pa./Blackhawk) in the 500 yard freestyle (5:41.36).
The Raiders will be back in action Saturday, January 27 as they travel to Wooster at 1 p.m.
