Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Claims OAC Victory over Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio--Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace by a final score of 152-90 for the first Ohio Athletic Conference victory on the season Friday night at BW Natatorium. 

The Purple Raiders were led by freshman Brian Regovich (Eastlake/Eastlake North) who collected first place finishes in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle. 

First place victories came from junior Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) in the 1000-yard freestyle, fellow classmate Logan Palochak (Hopewell) in the 100-yard butterfly, sophomore Mark Silver (Painesville/Riverside), freshman Ben Hoffmann (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Technical) in the 100-yard backstroke. 

Silver, Ellsworth and Palochak recorded a first place time of 1:28.89 in the 200-yard freestyle relay along with junior Noah Kee (Canton/GlenOak).

Freshman Ronnie Milam (Uniontown/Lake) won in 1-meter diving competition.

Mount Union stays on the road traveling to face Oberlin Saturday, November 10 with a 1 p.m. start time.
