BEREA, Ohio--Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace by a final score of 150-90 for the first Ohio Athletic Conference victory on the season Friday night at BW Natatorium.
Leading the way for Mount Union was freshman Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall) and sophomore Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville). Incristi placed first in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle while Stajcar recorded first place times in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard breaststroke.
Freshman Erika Drager (Berea/Berea-Midpark) won in the 200-yard freestyle. Incristi and Drager were swimmers in the 200-yard freestyle team that recorded a first place time of 1:44.49 along with freshman Kaitlyn DeWitt (Hudson) and senior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick).
Senior Sarah Gonda (Boardman) tallied a time of 1:03.03 in the 100-yard backstroke for first.
Sophomore Sarah Hrycyk (Massillon/Jackson) won in 1-meter diving competition.
Mount Union stays on the road traveling to face Oberlin Saturday, November 10 with a 1 p.m. start time.
