ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team were defeated by Ohio Northern 155-144 in Ohio Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Hammond Natatorium.

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was junior Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) who collected three first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle.

Fellow classmate Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) tallied victories in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly while from freshman Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa./Hampton) recorded a first-place time of 10:09.66 in the 1000-yard freestyle.

In diving events, freshman Ronnie Milam (Uniontown/Lake) won in 1-meter diving.

Mount Union hits the road to face Wilmington on Saturday, January 19 with a 1 p.m. start time.
