CANTON, Ohio - Mount Union's women's swimming and diving dropped their season opener against Malone 165-113 Friday night at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.

The Purple Raiders picked up wins in three events as sophomore Callie Landry (Broussard, La. / Teurlings Catholic) won the 1000 freestyle, junior Sarah Hrycyk (Massillon / Jackson) won the one-meter dive and freshman Alexis Schuller (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the 500 freestyle. 

Mount Union has a quick turn around competing tomorrow against Hiram at 1 p.m. at Hammond Natatorium.
